Los Angeles N (AZL)'s Niemeyer Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Friday, August 29th , 2110
Even as a kid, Brian Niemeyer said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Holman Stadium, Niemeyer showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 22-year-old center fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers, helping his team knock off the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers by a score of 7-3.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."
Brian Niemeyer singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
For the year, Niemeyer has hit at a .365 clip with 26 RBIs, 2 home runs and 30 runs scored.
