Esparza Smacks 5 Hits for White Sox
Wednesday, September 3rd , 2110
It was almost a perfect day for Ernesto Esparza.
The Chicago A (AZL) second baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The White Sox lost to the Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers, 4-3. Esparza told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Chicago A (AZL) manager Noel Clodfelter told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Ernesto Esparza singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Esparza is hitting .368 in 2110 with 29 RBIs and 4 home runs.
