AZL Player of the Week Goes to Russell of Texas (AZL) Monday, September 1st , 2098 The Arizona Rookie League has selected its Player of the Week. The honor went to Jake Russell, catcher of the Texas (AZL) Rangers. In a standout performance, he lit up the league with a .778 average to win the award. Russell went 7-for-9 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 7 RBIs and scored 5 times. Thus far this year Russell has hit .298 with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
