Eric Leeds of the Boston (GCL) Red Sox had one such moment at JetBlue Park, when he went 5 for 6 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Boston (GCL) succumbed to defeat, 16-14, to the New York N (GCL) Mets. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 21-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Eric Leeds singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brad Wiggins in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
