Braves Padgett Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, July 17th , 2110 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Aaron Padgett, it came around today. The 22-year-old third baseman scattered hits all over Roger Dean Stadium to pace the 13-5 Atlanta (GCL) Braves victory over the Las Vegas (GCL) Hustle. Las Vegas (GCL) skipper Joel Bousquet told reporters in the press room that "Padgett deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Padgett hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Aaron Padgett singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Javier Villarreal in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.
