Week's Best Player Honored by GCL Monday, July 28th , 2110 All week long Tom McAlear was the toughest out in the Gulf Coast Rookie League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week. The Tampa Bay (GCL) catcher rapped out 8 hits in 12 at-bats for a .667 batting average, drove in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
