4-Game Suspension for Nationals Hunter Friday, August 1st , 2098 Washington (GCL) left fielder Ryan Hunter was ejected in the game between the Nationals and Tigers for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Hunter was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Hunter said in the locker room after the game. Now Hunter must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Hunter has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 4 games." Thus far in 2098 Hunter is hitting .281 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs, 11 runs scored and has compiled a .364 OBP. |
