September's Best Hurler in GCL Is Holbert Tuesday, October 1st , 2115 Jeff Holbert was the #1 pitcher in September according to the voters. He completely shut down opposing teams to win the Gulf Coast Rookie League Pitcher of the Month Award. New York A (GCL)'s star reliever held the opposition to a .218 average and put up 1 save and 21 strikeouts in 14.1 innings with a 4-1 mark and a 0.63 ERA.
