St. Louis (GCL)-Tampa Bay (GCL) Fight Results in Suspensions Wednesday, August 19th , 2111 Tony Rivas of the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals and Jeffrey Millard of the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 2 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cardinals-Rays game at Roger Dean Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Rivas and Millard will begin serving them soon. This year, Rivas has socked 37 hits in 100 at-bats for a .370 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .466 pace and his totals also include 17 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Millard has taken the mound for 6 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 3-0 record with a 4.43 ERA. The Tampa Bay (GCL) reliever has limited opposing batters to a .253 batting average. |
