Detroit (GCL) Sits Atop Northeast Division Thursday, September 12th , 2109 The Detroit (GCL) Tigers are champions of the Northeast Division, but don't plan the parade quite yet. "It's a nice accomplishment, but we haven't done anything until we win the Round 2," said catcher Tomas Chapa. "We're going to celebrate this for sure, but the real celebration is still to come for fans in Detroit (GCL)." The club's record currently sits at 55-16. It is the team's 19th division title and they will be seeking the franchise's 7th Gulf Coast Rookie League championship. Team manager Jesse Rogerson said he plans to take some time to celebrate the division title, but then it's "back to work" for members of the team and coaching staff. |
