Year Ends for Seth Stewart in Detroit (GCL) Tuesday, August 30th , 2107 Seth Stewart of the Tigers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Detroit (GCL) reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Houston (GCL) Astros recently at Joker Marchant Stadium. Stewart suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Tigers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 6 months. This season, Stewart has chalked up a 0.96 ERA while ringing up 1 save with no wins and no losses. He has made 4 relief appearances, pitching 18.2 innings, giving up 15 hits, and holding opponents to a .211 batting average. Stewart has also recorded 20 strikeouts and allowed 6 walks. |
