Sanchez Tags Yankees for 5 Hits Thursday, September 13th , 2108 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Rafael Sanchez is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the New York A (GCL) Yankees at Timberwolves Stadium. The monster effort from the 20-year-old catcher helped the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays get the win, 18-5. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Yankees manager David Messer. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Rafael Sanchez hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
