Great September Gets Carson GCL Best Hitter Award Wednesday, October 1st , 2098 When Paul Carson stepped up to the plate in September he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Gulf Coast Rookie League Batter of the Month award. The young New York N (GCL) center fielder posted a .508 batting average with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 18 runs. Carson also worked pitchers for 7 walks to post a .565 on-base percentage.
