League Gives Nappi 2-Game Suspension Thursday, August 7th , 2098 Ben Nappi was suspended by the league for 2 games for "inappropriate conduct on the field," stemming from an altercation during a game with the Great Falls Voyagers yesterday at Hackers Ballpark. The Portland center fielder refused to leave the field for several minutes after being ejected by the home plate umpire over a third-strike call. His manager finally convinced him to leave the field, but had to step between him and the umpire several times. Tigers officials told the press Nappi was not available for comment after the game. |
