Rangers Engasser and Rockies Peralta Suspended for Fight Tuesday, August 20th , 2097 Yesterday at Black Diamonds Ballpark Chris Engasser and Rodolfo Peralta got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Texas (Rk+) Rangers and Grand Junction Rockies. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Engasser will have to sit out 4 while Peralta would be given a 2-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. During the current season Engasser is batting at a .370 clip with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. He has played in 36 games and scored 15 times. |
