Diaz, Pineda Suspended for Fracas Sunday, September 2nd , 2108 If there wasn't a history between Danny Diaz of Billings and Carlos Pineda of Washington (Rk+), then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Diaz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Diaz is hitting .228 this year with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 127 at-bats, 12 walks and a .308 on-base percentage. Diaz has played in 37 games.
