Mustangs Prevail, as Round 2 Goes to the Wire Wednesday, September 24th , 2110 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Billings Mustangs have eliminated the Texas (Rk+) Rangers and are Round 2 winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the Round 3, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said right fielder Jeff Ward, who was named series MVP. Billings won the final game by a score of 7-0, wrapping it up at Black Diamonds Ballpark. Ward's big series saw him hit .464 with a .483 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Billings Mustangs will play against the Orem Owlz in the next round. Orem won their series against the Ogden Raptors 4 games to 2.
