The Tampa Bay first baseman easily handled the Blue Jays pitching, going 5-for-6, but his Tampa Bay Rays came out on the short end of the 9-8 score. Wimmer told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Dan Wimmer walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, hit an RBI double in the 10th and flied out in the 12th.
