Winn Goes 5-for-6 Against New York
Wednesday, May 28th , 2110
5 times is the charm -- at least for Dan Winn.

The Pittsburgh Pirates catcher tore up the New York Mets to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at PNC Park. The offensive onslaught from Winn powered the 7-6 Pirates win.

"Winn was a tough out," New York manager Rodney Smith said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Dan Winn hit a two-run home run off Mike Rutz in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 11th and flied out in the 14th.

To date Winn has chalked up a .333 average with 3 home runs, driven in 7 runs and scored 8 times.
