Cardinals Prevail, as Wild Card Goes to the Wire Wednesday, October 15th , 2110 It took a while, but the St. Louis Cardinals finally disposed of the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-8 in the series clincher at PNC Park. Winning the finale gave the Cardinals the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Division Series. The Most Valuable Player Award went to St. Louis right fielder Jose Rodriguez. He batted .500 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 1 runs. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card finishes.
