Minnesota Moves on to World Series
Tuesday, November 4th , 2110
The fans in Minnesota are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Oakland.
The Minnesota Twins finished off the Oakland Athletics 11-2 in the deciding game of the Championship Series played at Target Field.
They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the World Series.
For his standout play, Minnesota left fielder Jason Duren was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .385, drove in 8 runs and scored 4 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Duren and that doomed us," said Athletics manager Jon Pearson. "Hats off to Minnesota, though. That was a great series."
The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
