A player hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game is one of the more unusual feats in professional baseball and typically happens only a couple times per season.
"Well, I didn't expect that to happen," the Minnesota left fielder said after the game. "I got some great pitches and I hit their mistakes."
Hinson also had 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored in the game at Rogers Centre.
Billy Hinson hit a two-run home run off Jim Rainey in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Hinson is batting .289 with 30 home runs.
