Red-Hot Castro Scorches Saltdogs
Monday, May 25th , 2111
5 hits in a game is generally considered a noteworthy achievement, but for Darwin Castro, it felt rather hollow.
The 27-year-old went 5-for-5 at the plate at Haymarket Park, but his Tucson Chameleons fell to the Lincoln Saltdogs, 5-4.
"It's hard to get too excited," the left fielder told BNN following the game. "After a game like this, everyone's quiet and they just want to go home."
Darwin Castro singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In 9 games this season, Castro is batting .381 with 16 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 7 runs and driven in 2.
