Escobedo Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 21
Friday, June 20th , 2098
Gary SouthShore defeated Fargo-Moorhead 5-4 today at U.S. Steel Yard, but saw the 21-game hitting streak of RailCats first baseman Miguel Escobedo snapped -- the RedHawks held Escobedo hitless in 3 at-bats.

"I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts."

Escobedo is currently batting .347 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.
