AA Names Lopez Best Rookie Monday, July 1st , 2109 Youngster Bobby Lopez emerged as the latest American Association Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Fargo-Moorhead deserved the honor, batting .330 with 11 home runs and 29 runs batted in. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Lopez enjoy the limelight. To date, Lopez has collected 44 hits for a .284 average. He has posted 14 home runs, scored 39 runs and driven in 34 runs. |
