Thursday, May 26th , 2107
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Denny Marshall discovered that today at The Depot at Cleburne Station, as he smashed three home runs during the 9-3 Washington Whalers win over the Cleburne Railroaders.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Washington first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Marshall, who finished 3rd in the AA in triples with 6 last year, finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 3 RBIs.
Denny Marshall singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tony Mercado in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Zarion Eldridge in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jesus Alarcon in the 9th.
This season, Marshall is batting .359 with 8 home runs. His totals include 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
