AA Star of the Week Picked Monday, July 27th , 2111 A hot-hitting week got Eddy Ugalde the American Association Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Sioux Falls left fielder slammed them for a .571 average, 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 5 runs. In the postgame press conference, Ugalde shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." Ugalde is hitting .294 so far this season with 43 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 70 hits including 12 home runs, 26 walks and .364 OBP. |
