Parracho Batters Tucson for 5 Hits
Thursday, July 17th , 2110
5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today, Raul Parracho of the Sioux Falls Canaries had a sensational game against Tucson at Sioux Falls Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-5 shellacking of the Chameleons.
In the postgame press conference, he joked that he was going to take the rest of the week off.
"I did all my hitting in one day -- what else do they want from me?" he said with a laugh.
Raul Parracho singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Parracho is hitting .265 so far this season with 23 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 61 hits including 3 home runs, 19 walks and .342 OBP.
