Red-Hot Bat: Thibeau Collects Cycle Saturday, August 25th , 2108 Devon Thibeau hit for the cycle and paced the Tucson Chameleons to a win, 13-5, against the Lexington Winter Hawks at Winter Hawks Park. The Chameleons first baseman led the way for his club with 4 hits in 4 at-bats -- 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 3 RBI and 3 runs. "Now that I know what Devon is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," Tucson manager Antonio Velazco joked with reporters after the game. Devon Thibeau hit a solo-shot off Chris Simpson in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Thibeau has a .294 average and a .353 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 98 hits, 6 home runs and driven in 34 runs. |
