AA Announces Player of the Week Monday, August 24th , 2111 26-year-old Bob Dillard sent shock waves through American Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American Association Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Dillard made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .542 average, 13 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run and 9 RBI. Where the Bakersfield Otters second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Dillard certainly made his mark last week. This year, Dillard has hit 15 home runs and posted a .297 batting average. |
