Henderson Jacks 3 into the Stands Monday, August 5th , 2097 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the St. Paul Saints today. Medford right fielder Jeff Henderson tripled up on the home runs to propel the Alouettes to the 7-5 win at Ballpark of Medford. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," St. Paul manager Tony Ulloa said. "Henderson hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Henderson collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Jeff Henderson hit a two-run home run off Omar Ramos in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Omar Ramos in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Pedro Rivera in the 7th. A look at his current stats shows Henderson with a .276 average, 30 home runs, 63 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has played in 71 games. |
