Washington Sweeps into the Round 2 Thursday, September 11th , 2110 The Milwaukee Milkmen were simply overmatched by the Washington Whalers in the Round 1. The end result was a sweep, as Washington has cruised to the Round 2, with the final win coming at Ballpark of Washington by a score of 4-2. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Mauro Alvite, who was named MVP of the Round 1. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Alvite hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 8 runs. The Washington Whalers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Chicago Dogs - Sioux City Explorers series. Sioux City leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on September 16th , 2110. |
