Linnemeier Finalizes Purchase of Winnipeg Goldeyes Wednesday, September 24th , 2098 Bobby Katz turned over the keys to the Winnipeg Goldeyes this afternoon to Ross Linnemeier in a brief ceremony outside Shaw Park. Ross Linnemeier wasted no time trying to put his mark on the team. "I've made a lot of money building things that no one thought would work. I've got a track record. Some people don't like change, but you need to embrace change if the alternative is disaster," he said. "Great teams are built with great players. We're gonna go get them." Linnemeier is said to be a tolerant character, with a fiscal personality of controlling. The Goldeyes finished the regular season with a 45-55 record, last place in the American Association North Division. |
