Strayer Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Thursday, September 5th , 2097 Nick Strayer ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Impact Field, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Cleburne Railroaders dropped the game, 6-2, to the Chicago Dogs. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Strayer said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Nick Strayer struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 8th. Strayer is hitting .268 this season with 18 home runs, 47 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 366 at-bats. |
