Claudio is Best In AA
Tuesday, October 8th , 2097
At the age of 25, Jose Claudio of the Lincoln Saltdogs could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2097 was good enough to win the right fielder the American Association Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .255 batting average this year, as well as a .364 on-base percentage. He played 96 games and racked up 86 hits, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 44 home runs, 96 RBIs and 76 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 16. Mike Kreider of the Cleburne Railroaders finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Matt Fehlman of the Tucson Chameleons finished third with 1 first place vote.
