June's Best AA Hitter is Yashiya Igarashi Wednesday, July 1st , 2082 In the last year of his deal with Sioux Falls, Yashiya Igarashi has created some waves by winning June's American Association Batter of the Month title today. He put up a solid .313 batting average with 17 home runs, 34 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He also worked AA pitchers for 13 walks and a .398 on-base percentage. If he keeps churning out numbers like these, the 29-year-old is sure to draw some attention when contract time rolls around. This year Igarashi is batting .360 with 28 home runs and 55 RBIs. In 40 games he has scored 44 times. |
