Sifuentes on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle Friday, July 12th , 2080 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at GCS Ballpark. Bob Sifuentes of the Gateway Grizzlies accomplished the feat against Florence Y'alls. Sifuentes went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 12-3 Gateway victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Sifuentes said after the game. Sifuentes also scored 4 runs and had 4 RBI in a day to remember for both Sifuentes and the crowd at GCS Ballpark. Bob Sifuentes hit a solo-shot off David Brady in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th. Currently Sifuentes is batting .286 with 12 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
