Boomers Not Competitive in 6-0 Loss to Gateway Saturday, July 27th , 2080 Today was Edwin Castaneda's turn in the rotation for the Gateway Grizzlies and he made the most of it, shutting out the Schaumburg Boomers on 7 hits. The 26-year-old right-hander led the Grizzlies to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 6 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Schaumburg manager John Bridges said. "Castaneda certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
