Maneri Belts 3 HR for Boulders Sunday, August 4th , 2080 New York Boulders left fielder Brad Maneri put on a dazzling display of power today at GCS Ballpark against the Gateway Grizzlies. In the 10-9 Boulders victory Maneri penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Gateway manager Noah Jenkins said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 26-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Maneri said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Brad Maneri hit a two-run home run off Bob Sifuentes in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bob Sifuentes in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Betancourt in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Thus far this year Maneri has hit .301 with 22 home runs and 54 RBIs. |
