Gateway Right Fielder Nets FL Award Monday, August 26th , 2080 26-year-old Dave McGinnis sent shock waves through Frontier League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Frontier League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, McGinnis made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .455 average, 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 5 home runs and 11 runs batted in. Where the Gateway Grizzlies right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but McGinnis certainly made his mark last week. In 89 games McGinnis is hitting .286 this season with 94 hits, 31 home runs, 76 RBIs, 45 walks, .368 OBP and has scored 68 runs. |
