Victor Velasco Chosen FL's Best Player Wednesday, October 2nd , 2080 Wherever Victor Velasco signs on next year, the first baseman will be hauling home a good paycheck after the impressive season he just wrapped up. Velasco received word of his Frontier League Most Valuable Player Award selection earlier today. That should make him a valuable commodity for next year. In 2080 he boasted a .302 average and a .430 on-base percentage as he piled up 75 hits, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 53 home runs, 94 RBIs and 80 runs scored. He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Felipe Salcido of the Trois-Rivieres Aigles finished second in voting, while Ryan White of the Evansville Otters finished third.
