Super Swinger -- Knisely Slams 5 Hits Saturday, May 18th , 2080 Zach Knisely did a number on the Slammers in the Southern Illinois 12-5 victory today, and the number was 5. The Miners third baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at SilverCross Field to lead his club past the Joliet Slammers. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Zach Knisely doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jorge Sanchez in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. |
