Thursday, January 29th, 2043
Pittsburgh (AFL) Pirates right fielder Ray Blindauer left the Atlanta (AFL) pitching staff in ruins at Limón Memorial Stadium today, beating the Braves 12-3 with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Blindauer told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Pittsburgh (AFL) right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 3 runs.
Ray Blindauer hit a solo-shot off Chris Bonenfant in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Joey Elliott in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Elias Melendrez in the 7th.
Thus far this season in 14 games Blindauer is batting .309 with 9 home runs, 25 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 17 hits in 55 at-bats.
