Fidel Orozco Named AFL's Best Player

Fidel Orozco took Arizona Fall League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 23.
For his spectacular campaign, the Los Angeles (AFL) Dodgers star has been named the 2043 Arizona Fall League Most Valuable Player recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder.
On the season he compiled a .411 batting average to go with a .432 on-base percentage. The native of Morganton, North Carolina also added 11 doubles, 1 triple, 12 home runs, 32 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
He received 28 first place votes out of a possible 30. Mario Dominguez of the Milwaukee (AFL) Brewers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Danny Jimenez of the Detroit (AFL) Tigers finished third with 1 first place vote.
