The Cincinnati (AZL) Reds downed the Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels, 8-2. The hitting star was right fielder Joaquin Sanchez. Sanchez was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Reds. The win takes Cincinnati (AZL) to 3-9.

Sanchez contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Cincinnati (AZL) in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sanchez took a slider from Tom Ellis and stroked the triple to right-center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Reds to leap in front, 2-1.
