Royals Go Down to Defeat, 2-0

The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Indians Developmental Complex.
The Kansas City (AZL) Royals got a superb performance from pitcher Jeff Termaat. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Cleveland (AZL). The Guardians won the game, 2-0. Termaat threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Jose Carrasco claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record stands at 2-0.
The Royals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Guardians going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old center fielder Jose Fresquez came to the plate. Fresquez hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 fastball from Kansas City (AZL) hurler Jeff Termaat. It was Fresquez's 3rd double of the year.
"We found a way to win tonight," Fresquez said.
Cleveland (AZL) now has a record of 4-8.
