Spirited fans greeted the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds for their clash with the Oakland (AZL) Athletics.

Behind the bravura of left fielder Kyle Owens, the Oakland (AZL) Athletics topped the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds by the score of 6-2. Owens went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Athletics. The winner in relief was Elijah Grady. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings.

With Oakland (AZL) leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Owens hit a splitter from Jesse Hutchinson for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Athletics ahead, 5-2.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Owens told the Oakland (AZL) Daily News.

By defeating Cincinnati (AZL), the third-place Athletics improved to 19-20.
