Brewers Notch 3-1 Win Versus Royals

Frank Ritter pitched well, but his team, the Kansas City (AZL) Royals, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers at Maryvale Baseball Park. Andy Elliott, now 3-2, was credited with the win in 4.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Chris Macklem earned the save, his 1st.
With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Willie Maysonet delivered big for the Brewers. Milwaukee (AZL) was trailing 1-0 when he belted a solo home run.
Said Kansas City (AZL) manager Jeremy Kasmer: "They pitched the heck out of us."
The Brewers now have a mark of 18-21.
