The Cleveland (AZL) Guardians topped the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers, 5-4, in Arizona Rookie League action at Maryvale Baseball Park. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland (AZL) pitcher and East Los Angeles, California, native Josh Chapin. The winner was Chapin. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Mario Aguilar. Mario Pera closed it out for his 2nd save.

Cleveland (AZL) catcher Chris Cole contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Guardians ahead, 5-3.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Chapin after the game.

The setback makes Milwaukee (AZL) 20-22.
