Both teams had their chances, but the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers eventually prevailed.

The Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers spoiled a good performance by Seattle (AZL) designated hitter Bill Edmonds, bumping off Seattle (AZL), 6-5, at Peoria Sports Complex. Edmonds belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Aaron Minzey snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Jake Paquin suffered the loss. Doug Taub closed out the game, earning his 4th save.

Victor Suarez provided a timely hit. The Milwaukee (AZL) pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brewers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"They played a better game than we did," said Seattle (AZL) skipper Marquise Mims.

The first-place Brewers have a one-game lead in their division.
